FAQs – Behavioral Health Services
Who can access these services?
Trans and nonbinary people living in Pittsburgh or Allegheny County who are currently connected to Sisters PGH programs. This includes participants in our housing programs, outreach clients, and TRC visitors.
Is there a cost for services?
No. All behavioral health services are currently offered free of charge for Sisters PGH participants.
Do I need insurance?
No, you do not need insurance to receive services. In the future, we may begin billing insurance to help sustain the program, but you will always be notified and services will remain accessible regardless of insurance status.
What types of services do you offer?
We offer individual therapy sessions, emotional wellness check-ins, peer support groups, crisis support, and harm reduction services. We also provide referrals for medical needs such as HRT or medication access.
Where are services held?
Services are offered in person at the Stonewall Inn location in downtown Pittsburgh. Virtual sessions are available for those who need them.
When do services begin?
Services begin April 14, 2025. Individuals on the waitlist will be contacted by April 25 with their placement and next steps.
How do I get on the waitlist?
Complete our Behavioral Health Interest Form. Once submitted, our Behavioral Health Programs Manager will follow up with next steps.
