Sponsorship Opportunities

Join us in celebrating 15 years of Sisters PGH’s transformative work in Pittsburgh’s TLGBQ+ community! Founded in 2011, Sisters PGH has been dedicated to supporting, advocating, and empowering trans individuals, with a particular focus on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) trans people.

As the founder and executive director, Sisters PGH was created from my lived experiences as a Black trans woman navigating systemic marginalization. This organization began as a grassroots effort to address the challenges I faced and has grown into a vital resource for trans-marginalized individuals in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and Philadelphia County. Today, Sisters PGH provides life-saving programs and resources to ensure our community is empowered, housed, and supported.

Through our work, we offer:

• Monica Roberts Place: A one-bedroom apartment program for BIPOC trans individuals within an apartment building, designed to provide both housing stability and tailored support. This program not only ensures participants have safe, affirming housing but also equips them with the tools and resources to transition from Monica Roberts Place into homeownership, fostering long-term stability and independence.

• Project T: A transitional housing program specifically for Black trans women and girls ages 18 to 26. Participants in Project T receive tailored programming focused on personal development, education, employment readiness, and wellness to support their transition into independent living and long-term success.

• The Stonewall Inn PGH: After years of operating drop-in resource spaces in Squirrel Hill and Swissvale, we are excited to open our new downtown Pittsburgh space in February 2025. For those who remember, our first drop-in space in Squirrel Hill was displaced due to an unrelated fire, leading us to years of impactful service in Swissvale. However, it has always been my personal hope to secure a more centralized space to better serve the communities we support. With this dream realized, The Stonewall Inn PGH will provide an accessible and welcoming hub for community resources, connection, and empowerment.

We are thrilled to host you at this very space during Pride Month as part of our 15-Year Anniversary Celebration!

Since 2017, Sisters PGH has proudly organized People’s Pride PGH, a grassroots alternative to corporate-sponsored Pride events. People’s Pride PGH has become a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s Pride Month, featuring parades, music festivals, and advocacy efforts centering the voices of Black, Brown, trans, and queer individuals.

As we celebrate 15 years in 2025, our Board of Directors and I have decided to transition People’s Pride PGH as part of a broader strategic plan to ensure Sisters PGH’s long-term sustainability. While we remain committed to hosting future People’s Pride PGH parades and music festivals, this year’s celebration focuses on building meaningful relationships with sponsors and vendors while investing in the infrastructure of our organization.

Over the years, you have entrusted me to lead this work, and your trust has shown every time you’ve supported Sisters PGH—whether through our year-round initiatives or during Pride Month. This celebration is another way we can utilize your support to uplift the TLGBQ+ community. Whether you’re a new sponsor or someone who has been with us for years, your support never goes unnoticed. I am personally grateful for your contributions, and I want to thank you for believing in our mission.

We invite you to join us for our 15-Year Anniversary Celebration, which honors the same community-driven values as People’s Pride PGH and ensures the growth and longevity of Sisters PGH for years to come.
