Info: Ashanti was shot and killed early on the morning of Saturday 30th March. In death, her father erased her identity. On 11th May a "Celebration of Lives" service was held at Metropolitan Community Church of Washington DC for Ashanti and four other members of the LGBT community who died unexpectedly in the two-week period following her death. Deborah Carmon and her husband were the only family members who attended.
